Tourism and Development in Patagonia
The Asociación Gremial de Turismo Mañihuales was formed and ratified by Chile's Ministry of Economy in September 2014. Its members are business owners — both individuals and legal entities registered under Chile's "Primera Categoría" tax regime — engaged in tourism and local commerce.
The Association's work is focused on actions that strengthen tourism development in Villa Mañihuales and the surrounding area, benefiting not only our members but the whole community around us.
A key focus of our work is collaborative action that strengthens a circular economy, enabling sustainable development for Villa Mañihuales and its full potential.
Caring for the natural environment around us is another of our strategic goals. To that end, we run education, awareness and appreciation initiatives among the community and its organizations. We build ties with public services, programs and projects that bring in resources to benefit our community and protect our natural environment.
AG Turismo Mañihuales funds its programs and activities by applying for public and private funds, as well as through the monthly dues its members pay under the Association's bylaws and regulations.

To position Villa Mañihuales, in the Aysén region, as a cultural tourism landmark through self-sustaining projects that respect the natural environment that defines this region.
